Managing the Dreaded Traffic Situations in Large Cities

Heavy traffic is one of the most frustrating situations of city life. The traffic goes from bumper to the next and continues to clog roads and causes pollution. Regardless of where you live, traffic situations are turning into a nightmare of sorts. A mere 20km drive can take anywhere between 3 and 4 hours which is almost the same time it takes to walk the same distance.

The fact that urbanization is increasing tremendously in turn increases the number of vehicles plying on the roads. The increase of vehicles is many times faster than new roads being constructed or old roads being rehabilitated. This can actually affect the road systems rapidly leading to deterioration. The congestion of vehicles is also due to absence of parking facilities.

However it is not the end of the tunnel yet. There is still scope if certain things are considered and worked upon, a few being.

    • It is vital to keep updating public transportation and the government needs to allot a certain budget to do this. They need to improve highways, build ring roads and also concentrate on maintaining on already existing ones.
    • There needs to be a constraint on the number of vehicles that can be owned by a single family. This is definitely possible as we have examples such as Singapore that already has this kind of constraint.
    • A fee can be introduced where people need to pay when wanting to drive into the city during peak hours.
    • Banning of heavy-duty vehicles into the city during peak hours.
    • By allotting particular days on which cars can be allowed into the city centers.
    • Making use of a strict computerized system to manage traffic lights and introducing a manageable system to make quick alerts when accidents happen.
    • A bus lane to be provided specifically for buses which change direction based on specific needs. The role of the citizens also vital. Individuals can use cycle as a mode of transportation for close by distances, which will help in reducing traffic as well as improve your health.
    • Making use of public transport for long distance travelling, instead of choosing to drive. The government needs to make arrangements such that the systems are always up to the mark.
    • Provision of public parking systems at equal distances.
    • Decision to ban people driving alone into the city at peak hours will help too.
  • Apart from all this it is the responsibility of an individual to be considerate and display courtesy towards fellow travelers. Patience also plays a very important role in helping minimize traffic.

If everything else fails you still have hope in Hilton parking who are specialists in parking in Wabash Chicago.

Insurance – One of Life’s Neccessity

While it’s nice to enjoy the many comforts of life, those comforts come with risks. This is where insurance comes in. To get the most out of your car, home, and ultimately health, you will likely need to invest in protection. This provides individuals and families with peace of mind and protects you and your loved ones from unforeseen events or accidents.

Keep Your Car Covered

Most states have laws that require insurance in order for an individual to operate a vehicle. If you’re pulled over without proof of coverage or you’re involved in an accident, you can be fined or even have your licensed suspended. Not only is it beneficial for the individual to have car insurance, but it is also beneficial to other parties if an accident occurs. The insured party may have more costs or delays in car repairs or medical bill payments and the uninsured party may incur fines and out of pocket costs. This also helps in cases of accidents caused by your surroundings. For example, if your car is covered and the windshield is shattered by a rock, you can call the company and they will supplement the price of the new windshield.

Safeguard Your Home

Whether you have purchased a home or simply rent, gaining insurance is a top priority. There are many unpredictable events that put the valuables inside and outside your home at risk. First and foremost, homeowners should be aware of the potential risks. Whether it’s a natural disaster or a fire, your home is an investment you surely don’t want to watch go away with rain or fire. Keep in mind the valuables you’ve collected over the years and the feelings you have attached to them. Mitigate your stress by having a separate entity directly responsible for the financial repercussions. Accidents happen. For example, a leaky roof caused by the weather, a tree falling on the house from a storm, or the neighbor’s kid breaking a window with their rogue baseball can all wreak havoc. There are also additional special features that can be tacked on to renters and home owners insurance. If you live in a flood prone area, flood insurance can be included in the policy. Hurricane and tornado insurance can also be added for those who live in at risk areas.

Whether young or old, insurance is a necessity of life. Paying monthly bills over the course of the year will protect you and your family from unthinkable incidents. While some see this as a waste of money, ask anyone who has faced a disaster without coverage and you will soon change your mind. Explore your options and don’t be afraid to be picky with your provider. They’re top priority should be getting you what you need.

Improper Communication Leads to Prejudice!

It is very common that the obiter dictum is misinterpreted as the judgement leading to so much unnecessary discussions, thereby creating uproar among the masses. Before any such discussion is undertaken on the open platforms of media channels, it is very essential to understand the difference between an obiter dictum and a judgement.

As far as FAST (Financial Aide for Student of Telangana), a Government Welfare Scheme proposed by the Telangana government in the past, is concerned, the recent judicial opinion of state high court states, “Telangana is part of India… They are people of Hyderabad.” As reported, the state High Court suggested the Telangana government to reconsider the GO issued, and ordered to counter-petition within 6 weeks. There are so many different discussions that have been taking place on various podiums over this very matter leading to a sort of confusion among the general public.

In general, the remarks of a judge which are made as comments, illustrations or thoughts that may not be necessary in arriving at a decision is called obiter dictum. Conversely, a judgment – in legal context – is the formal decision made by a court following legal proceedings.

In this context, there is a need to understand the concept of ratio decidendi as well. It is a legal axiom that denotes to the legal, moral, political, and social principles used by a court to compose the rationale of a particular judgment. There is a vast difference between the two legal terms obiter dicta and the ratio decidendi. It is a widespread practice that through the doctrine of stare decisis – decidendi is adopted as a general rule binding on courts of lower and later jurisdiction.

A judicial statement becomes a ratio decidendi only if it refers to the crucial facts and law of the case. From the other end, the statements that are not crucial, those which refer to hypothetical facts and to unrelated law issues are considered as obiter dicta. The crucial minute observation should be that Obiter dicta are to be seen as the remarks or observations made by a judge that, although included in the body of the court’s opinion, do not form a necessary part of the court’s decision. Unlike ratio decidendi, obiter dicta are not the subject of the judicial decision, even if they happen to be correct statements of law. The Wambaugh’s Inversion Test comprising of five steps can effectively determine whether a judicial statement is a ratio decidendi or obiter dicta. In this test, the argument should be inverted and checked in order to ensure if the decision would have been different, had the statement been omitted. In this case, the statement is found crucial and is considered as the ratio decidendi; else, it is an obiter dictum. In veracity, the essence of the judicial decision lies in its ratio and not every observation found in the case.

Article 141 in the Constitution of India 1949 states that the Law declared by the Supreme Court to be binding on all courts within the territory of India. From the other end, a deliberate judicial decision arrived at after hearing an argument on a question that arises in a case may make up a precedent. In order to understand and appreciate the binding force of a decision, it is always necessary to consider the facts in the case in which the decision was given and what was the point which had to be decided.

Inappropriate communication would lead to prejudice. Communication is the life blood of everything that essentially has human beings as its stakeholders. It is the process of information through various means like the exchange of ideas, feelings, et al. Even non-verbal gestures play a vital role in this regard. As it is rightly said – even a war could be won with effective communication. The opposite is also promising – if the communication turns pointless. Thus, there arises a need to understand the concepts before taking up for discussion, in order to provide first-rate information to the masses.

Articles from have been very popular among the masses as they are well written and balanced. The author himself writes various articles at his personal blog in order to get connected with the masses who are looking for the good content in the allied fields of communication.

What Does the Coming of Tomorrow Mean?

The coming of tomorrow can be just another day or less frequently an unpredictable day. Yet you can have some influence over that to a great extent. How is that? Read on to find out.

For most people coming of tomorrow would mean coming another day of your routine life. But you can change the pattern to some extent because coming of tomorrow does not have to mean always that way.

You can make tomorrow a memorable or victorious day of your life if you plan ahead of time. By preparing and taking actions ahead of time you can make tomorrow a grand day be it a party day, a day to accomplish something great or just simply a day for some family time together. Even little things can bring happiness while monumental stuff will bring triumph.

What is it you desire, you have to take action and plan ahead of time to make tomorrow different. That’s the sole secret.

For instance, consider throwing a grand party – you need at least one whole month prior to tomorrow to make the guest list, the shopping list, preparations for ordering food items, arrangements for sitting and decorations for your home and so on. It cannot happen in a single day.

While a family out together depending on how small your children are, it can be organized quickly within a day’s notice. You just need to plan whether it’s a park to play with your children you will go or to a restaurant to eat out together. Either way, it is easy to plan and organize and yet tomorrow can be a great fun day for you.

On the other hand, if you are trying to accomplish something great, say your PhD Dissertation, well that would take weeks of practice and rehearsal for best results. You have to present your presentation in front of a committee of people and other audience; you need to have your thesis compiled and assembled into a formal proper book and probably you have to burn the softcopy of your thesis on a CD or two. That way you have well planned. Additionally you have to prepare yourself well for giving proper answers to the questions posed by the audience on your dissertation day which happens to be tomorrow. If it all goes well, there you have it – you are conferred upon a PhD degree- something of great triumph.

Sometimes coming of tomorrow may be as unpredictable as losing your job, demise of someone close or simply a bad day. Try to repel the negative energies as much as you can and make it bearable for you. It always will happen once in a blue moon and therefore, you don’t have much to take to heart most of the time.

On the other hand, why does it have to be routine work for another tomorrow? Simply because people don’t plan to do anything special or do anything to make it special. Next time you think of tomorrow, let your creative juices flow in and plan a great day. Why does it have to be a day of boredom and drudgery? You can make it a beautiful memorable day if you only want it to be so with a burning desire. Think about it next time before tomorrow comes. It’s worth giving it time and thought.

Full Court Press – The Media Mess

The United States Constitution was painstakingly crafted to define the vision of a new nation whose founders were acutely aware of the pitfalls and dangers to the personal freedoms looming in an uncertain future. It proclaimed the nation as a Republic, affording the bulk of the power of its future be determined ‘of the people, by the people and for the people.’ The First Amendment, by its placement, clearly defines the things they feared would most inhibit the realization of this new dream; tucked within those words is ‘infringing on the freedom of the press.’ Why did they consider the press to be so instrumental in protecting the realization of their dream that it was essential to be a part of the very first amendment?

Journalists are expected to honor a creed that has long been recognized by their industry and respected by Americans. They are charged with the responsibility of accurately and concisely presenting the facts of affairs both foreign and domestic to their citizens. There was an understanding that they stood as the guards at the gates of our freedom by virtue of their accuracy and lack of bias in their presentation. So long as they honored this duty Americans were able to make clear choices about events that affect their future, safety and security. They earned the respect that was afforded to them through their integrity. Something has happened; the effects of this present dangerous consequences to the very fabric of the American people.

It has become difficult to determine what is real news being reported without bias and what reflects simple commentary and opinions of those who present it to us. Many have begun to deceive their audience either through a complete refusal to report important events, by framing events in the context that supports their own beliefs they wish to promote all the way to the intentional dishonesty reflected in edited interviews that create an entirely different perception than the truth. The American people are no longer provided with accuracy, facts or the complete story. They are forced to rely on integrity that has been severely compromised. The guards have vacated their time-honored post, silently and without notice to the people.

News should never be opinion based, nor is it entertainment. It is the strength of the foundation that forms the actions her citizens will take to continue the American dream; they are entitled to the absolute unbiased complete truth. This is the very reason they were singled out for protection in the document that cements our freedoms. Their forbearers accepted nothing at face value; they validated and dug deeper until they found the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth and then reported it to the people. Nothing less is acceptable. The press should don the time-honored mantle of truth and integrity once again and honor their guard duties to America.
